This report on fighting
human poverty in Bangladesh attempts to describe both income and
non-income dimensions of deprivation. Dimensions such as nutrition,
education, health, environment, population dynamics and empowerment
are examined, and in addition, regional, social and gender
differentials are taken into account.
By examining poverty from
a broader perspective than shortfalls of consumption or income the
report attempts to propose a comprehensive approach to fighting
human poverty. |
